Sandy Bottom is our family brand that we want to share with you. We are Alistair and Shona Easingwood and we live at the top of Coldingham Sands in the Scottish Borders with our 3 children, our sandy pup and sandy cats.

We built (Alistair and his dad John) our home here in 2021. Visitors and locals have watched and supported our progress over the last few years while we were building our dream. We grew up here and love everything about it and have a vision to share it with you!

This website kinda all started with a t-shirt! Living at the beach we love the water, all the activities that go with it and coming from a fishing family Alistair longed for a boat. Another doer up project for him and John and along came The Buoy Tom (named after our middle child). Buoy Tom moors in St Abbs Harbour April to October and our garden the rest of the year. St Abbs Harbour is tidal and Alistair wanted a t-shirt that said ‘Just waiting on the tide’ and so it began with product design, now it is activity ideas, recipe sharing, merchandise, fun times at the beach and accommodation.
